Introduction
Trotii is a mobile app that helps you make confident outfit and lifestyle choices by sharing two-photo polls with friends. By using Trotii, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and a username, plus an optional bio and profile photo. We use this to identify you to other users and keep your account secure. We do not require your legal name, phone number, or date of birth to be stored on our servers.
Age confirmation
During sign-up we ask for your date of birth on a one-time screen to confirm you meet our minimum age (see "Children's privacy & age" below). This date is stored only on your device to remember that you passed the age check — it is not sent to our servers and is not used for any other purpose.
Content you create
The polls, photos, comments, votes, and reactions you post on Trotii. You own this content — we just store and display it on your behalf.
Usage data
Data about how the app is used: which screens you visit, which features you tap, crash reports, and approximate device info (model, OS version, app version). This helps us fix bugs and improve the experience. We may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information for analytics, product improvement, research, safety, and operational purposes.
Analytics providers
We use PostHog for product analytics inside the app — it records the in-app events and approximate device information described above so we can understand how features are used. On our website (not the app), we use Google Analytics to measure basic traffic such as page views and sessions. We do not use advertising networks or ad-tracking SDKs, and we do not use analytics for advertising.
Camera and photo access
If you give permission, we access your camera and photo library so you can attach images to a poll. We never read photos you haven't explicitly chosen, and nothing leaves your device until you tap post.
How we use it
- To run and improve the Trotii app
- To deliver your polls to the friends and audiences you choose
- To send you account, safety, and important service notifications
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- To comply with legal obligations
Sharing your information
We share information only in these limited cases:
- With other users. Polls you post publicly are visible to other Trotii users. Polls you send privately are visible only to the recipients you choose.
- With service providers. Trusted vendors that help us run the Service: Supabase (database, authentication, and file hosting), Sightengine (automated screening of uploaded photos for nudity, violence, and gore before they appear publicly), PostHog (in-app product analytics), Google Analytics (website traffic measurement), and our email-delivery provider. They process data on our behalf under contractual obligations and do not use your photos to train their own products.
- With app stores. Apple's App Store and Google Play may provide us with age-related signals about you to help us comply with age-verification laws, as described in "Age verification & U.S. state laws" below.
- For legal reasons. If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.
Data storage & security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. Your data is stored using Supabase's infrastructure, which includes encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encryption at rest, and row-level security policies.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
Trotii is operated from Israel. If you're accessing from the EU or other regions, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with different privacy laws. By using Trotii, you consent to this transfer.
Third-party providers may process and store information on servers located in different jurisdictions, including the United States and other countries where privacy protections may differ from those in your location.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we may retain certain information for a limited period as necessary for backup integrity, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, and enforcement of our agreements.
We may retain certain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, protect against fraud and abuse, and maintain backup and archival records.
We may retain aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information for analytics, safety, product improvement, and operational purposes.
Your rights
You can:
- Request access to certain data associated with your account, subject to technical feasibility and applicable law
- Correct inaccurate information from your profile settings
- Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to backup retention periods, legal obligations, and technical limitations
- Opt out of non-essential notifications from in-app Settings

Children's privacy & age
Trotii is intended only for people aged 13 and older, and is not directed to children under 13. At sign-up we ask for your date of birth on a neutral age screen and block anyone who reports an age under 13; we do not store the birth date of anyone who is blocked.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please email tallyaffek@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete the account and any associated personal information.
If you are between 13 and 18, you should review this policy with a parent or legal guardian, and you represent that they have agreed to it on your behalf.
Age verification & U.S. state laws
Some U.S. states — including Texas, under the App Store Accountability Act (SB 2420) — and other jurisdictions require app stores to verify users' ages and, for minors, to obtain parental consent before an app is downloaded or used. Where these laws apply, Apple's App Store and Google Play may share age-range or age-category signals, and an indication of whether parental consent was given, with us as the developer.
When we receive this information, we use it only to:
- determine whether you are a minor and provide an age-appropriate experience,
- apply any required restrictions or default safety settings, and
- comply with our legal obligations under these laws.
We do not use age signals for advertising, marketing, profiling, or analytics, and we do not sell them. We retain age-signal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to demonstrate compliance, after which it is deleted. These requirements are being rolled out by the app stores over time, and our handling of age signals will follow their availability in your jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and update the last updated date above. Continued use of Trotii after changes means you accept the updated policy.
